Born and raised in New York City, Paul received his training in acting and musical theater at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. He's worked on stage in over 50 professional productions throughout the USA, and is a three time Carbonell Award recipient/nominee (including Best Actor in a Musical, for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at The Caldwell Theater). He's written, scored & directed over 75 professional children's theater musicals. Paul's voice can be heard as hundreds of different characters in radio, television, and DVD. He plays over seven musical instruments, and is the creator, writer and composer, of JELLY BEAN JUNGLE, the former nationally syndicated live action, puppetry children's TV series (which Pres. Bill Clinton called "High quality children's programming"). Paul is also an award winning documentary filmmaker, and the co-author of the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway show "REAL MEN: The Musical." On TV, he co-starred as Marvin on the BBC and ABC Family Channel series, S CLUB 7 IN MIAMI, and played Harry, in the film "In The Shadows", starring Matthew Modine, James Cahn and Cuba Gooding Jr. His additional work in puppetry has been that of a popular Internet puppetry educator, author of the eBook, "Make Money With Puppets", as well as puppetry coach to theater productions of "Avenue Q", "Hand to God", "Nunsense" and more. He's also a puppeteer in the Trey Parker/Matt Stone film, "Team America: World Police". In early 2018, Paul was selected by Sesame Workshop (out of hundreds of worldwide applicants) to be trained as a puppeteer by their Sesame Street puppeteers, Matt Vogel, Peter Linz, Marty Robinson, and Stephanie D'Abruzzo (the Tony nominated star of the original Avenue Q on Broadway). Paul firmly believes that REAL MEN sing show tunes and play with puppets.
